About

Thank you for stopping by! I am the owner & designer behind Oh Be Joyful Creative, a small business in Dallas, Texas whose heart’s desire is to infuse people’s celebrations with joy and creative intentionality through services such as Weekend-of Wedding Coordination & Styling, as well as the design of those glorious details that will stand out when you look back at your wedding photos. I just adore creating uniquely stunning wedding invitation suites and event branding, as well as freeflowing hand-dyed silk ribbon, table runners, & photo styling products.

Let me know what I can do for you and how we can dream up something gloriously unique together.

I know how stressful wedding planning can be, and I want you to know that I am here to help make the engagement process as pain-free as possible. I will guide you through all of the ways I can be of help, from styling & wedding coordination services, to your invitation suite, silk styling details & more! In our conversations, I will help you make decisions based on your specific wedding taste, style and budget. I offer loads of ideas to bring together coordinating pieces which will help write a seamless storyline throughout your festivities.

I have always had a passion for celebration. The old idea of “Barn Raising” is the best way I can think of to give you an idea of where this side of me stems from. Do you remember learning about the pioneer days, when an entire town would show up to support a newlywed couple? The ladies would bring food, and sit together in the round, chatting away while stitching a quilt, while the men would build the frame for a barn or home, and together haul it up. I wish we still did that! There is something in my heart that finds such satisfaction when a community surrounds somebody to share in their joy. To contribute one’s time and thoughtfulness, to creatively cultivate something especially for that person or people, to me, communicates “I know you.” “I care for you, and other people do too.” “We are WITH you.”

I love what I do. My mind is constantly seeking to expand my horizons, to try the untried, to write a new aesthetic story. I relish the process of brainstorming with a person to bring about something beautiful. The old adage, “where there is a will, there is a way” is my constant mindset when it comes to dreaming big.  So that is where I’m at.

    On a personal level…

I am expressive and love people. There is nothing more peaceful to me as being on the water or feeling the sunshine warm my skin. I love those huge warm summer rain drops and the way they feel when they splash on my face. I am an avid antique shopper and I relish driving a hard bargain. I have daydreams of being a ballroom dancer one day. I cannot get enough of dark, rich, earthy coffee… especially in the fall with yummy spices.

Going deeper, I am thankful to be part of a loving family of people who tell me like it is and love me for how I am. I was raised in grace and I desire to continue fighting to walk in that, though it is a daily battle.  I’m a born and raised Dallas girl. I’m passionate, joyful and fiercely in love with Jesus Christ, the source of my joy and life, the Creator of all that is truly beautiful, and the author of my creativity. I adore my amazing hunk of a husband, who supports me daily and whose kindness knows no bounds. I have two precious little girls who have stolen my affections in a way I never thought possible.

My days are full of dreaming about my next project, working on styled shoots, coordinating weddings, illustrating & creating invitations, silk products & coordinating details… and all the while trying to savor these sweet years, playing with my little ones, loving Drew, and walking with my Lord.

At my core, I am a celebrator. I’m constantly on the hunt for ways to make people feel loved in their special moments. I’m the late-night working girl behind Oh Be Joyful Creative.
